Frequently Asked Questions

We accept children from 2 years old to 6 years old. Siblings under the age of 2 years old are welcome to join for free. 

At the moment we run sessions on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:30am to 11.30am. 

At Forest School, we believe the best adventures start with a little freedom! Our sessions are child-led and full of free-flow play—there’s no strict schedule or formal structure. Each week, we introduce a fun seasonal theme and set up exciting activities to spark curiosity, but it’s really the children who take the lead. Whether they’re building dens, mixing mud potions, or going on a bug hunt, they’re free to follow their imaginations and create their own play. We’re here to support, guide, and celebrate every muddy, magical moment!

Sadly no. Children must be supervised by parents or carers at all times. 

Forest School is all about outdoor adventures in all kinds of weather—so being properly dressed makes all the difference!

In colder months, we recommend:

• Lots of warm layers
• A hat, gloves, and scarf
• Waterproof coat and trousers
• Thermal or insulated boots to keep little toes toasty

In warmer weather, you’ll still need:

• A sun hat and sunscreen
• Waterproofs and wellies (we still love a good splash!)
• Long-sleeved tops and trousers to protect from bugs and brambles—even on hot days

And whatever the season, it’s always a good idea to have a spare set of clothes in the car, just in case your little explorer gets extra muddy or wet!

Sorry no, we need to know the exact amount of children as we do not want to exceed the limit to our site. 

Yes! There are toilets at the top of the carpark before the pathway to our site.
